The question behind the work

Less switching between a conversation and a dashboard.

An assistant is more useful when it can inspect the relevant product information instead of guessing. BusyIP’s public MCP tools expose information such as pricing, capacity, and supported targeting. Account tools become available after you authorize the connection, so private account work has an explicit boundary.

What you can check

Turn a connection into context.

01

Explore before connecting

Ask about public pricing, targeting, metering, or capacity without attaching a customer account. Use the answers to plan a small test.

02

Work with your account

Connect your account through the supported authorization flow to use account-scoped tools. Review the tool action before authorizing changes.

03

Keep execution understandable

Use MCP for the supported product and account operations. Your data collection or test client still needs its own proxy configuration.

Connection quickstart
  1. 01

    Choose a compatible client

Use an AI client that supports remote MCP over Streamable HTTP. Follow its normal process for adding a remote server.

  2. 02

    Add the BusyIP endpoint

Enter https://busyip.com/mcp. Inspect the public tools and ask a specific question about the workflow you want to run.

  3. 03

    Authorize account access if needed

Connect your BusyIP account for private operations. Public product discovery does not require this step.

  4. 04

    Verify the resulting setup

Take the configuration into your proxy client, make a small request, and check the account’s usage before expanding the workflow.

Evaluate the fit

Explore the MCP integration
Before the first run

A few details
worth knowing.

Do I need an account to explore MCP?

No. Public tools can explain the product and expose public service information. Account-scoped tools require an authorized BusyIP account.

Does MCP replace the proxy endpoint?

No. MCP is the tool interface. HTTP CONNECT and SOCKS5 are the proxy interfaces used by your actual network client.

Where can I see the supported tools?

The MCP page lists the current public and account tools from the same tool definitions used by the server.
