Packs#

Prices are in US dollars. You buy a pack from your dashboard once you have an account — there is nothing to configure and no quote to request.

25 GB is the largest pack we list, because it is the largest we can honestly deliver at our size. We would rather not sell you a tier we cannot serve. If you need more than that, email support@busyip.com before you buy and we will tell you straight whether we can carry it.

What the free gigabyte gets you#

One gibibyte, once per account, granted the moment you confirm your email. It takes exactly the same path a purchase takes, so if it works for you nothing changes when you pay.

The free allowance is capped each month so a rush of signups cannot use up the capacity paying customers rely on. If the month's gigabytes are already claimed when you confirm, you get 100 MB instead — enough to run real requests through real exits and see the bytes move. Saying so here because finding it out on your own balance would be worse.

Buying does not give you new credentials. A purchase adds bytes to the username and secret you already have and lifts the concurrency limit. The code you got working on the free gigabyte keeps working — you do not re-paste anything.

What "1 GB" means here#

1 GB = 1 GiB = 1,073,741,824 bytes.

That is 2³⁰, not 1,000,000,000. We use the binary gigabyte everywhere — in the packs above, in your balance, in the usage export and in the terms — and we never round in our favour. A provider that sells decimal GB and meters binary ones is 7.4% cheaper on the page than in the bill; the two figures being identical is the point.

What we count, and why our number is higher than yours#

We count bytes on the wire between your client and our gateway, including the TLS handshake and protocol framing. How far above your own counter that reads depends almost entirely on how much you move per connection. A large transfer amortises the handshake: we measured +5.6% on a 120 KB fetch. Many small requests on fresh connections pay for a handshake every time: we measured +46% on a 7 KB fetch. Reusing connections is the single biggest thing you can do to narrow it. If your figures look wrong even allowing for that, tell us — we would rather check and be wrong than have you assume.

This is the most common argument in this business and we would rather have it now than in a dispute. The gap is real traffic: TLS handshakes, record framing, the CONNECT head and protocol overhead in both directions. It was carried by a real person's phone and they were paid for it.

Nothing is rounded per request or per connection. There is no minimum billable unit. Your usage page shows the per-day split of bytes up and bytes down, and you can export every sample we counted as CSV — the dispute procedure is literally "here is every row".

What you are not charged for#

• A request we denied. If no exit matches your filters, or your filters are not permitted, or the destination is blocked, the gateway answers before anything is relayed. No bytes move, so nothing is counted.
• Bytes that were not delivered. We meter the connection between your client and our gateway, in both directions, on the traffic that actually crossed it.

Overshoot. Enforcement is checked on a short interval, so a request already in flight when your balance reaches zero is allowed a bounded grace of up to 64 MiB rather than being cut mid-response. Those bytes are carried against your next top-up. We do not write them off and we do not bill them twice — they appear as a negative balance until you buy again, and at 64 MiB the most that can ever be is a few cents.

Refunds#

Support reviews each request individually. The free allowance lets you check whether the available network works for your needs before buying traffic. Please include the account email and purchase details when you contact us about a refund.

When support does grant one, it covers unused bytes only, priced at the average price you actually paid for the bytes in your balance and rounded to the cent in your favour. Bytes you have already spent were carried by someone who has already been paid for carrying them.

Statutory rights that apply to you where you live are not affected by any of this.

Why there is no monthly plan#

Real people can connect and disconnect. Prepaid traffic gives you the flexibility to run your work when matching exits are available and keep the remaining balance for later.

There is no recurring subscription or automatic recharge. If no exit matches your filters, the gateway declines the request before relaying traffic. When you need more bytes, choose a pack in your dashboard and use the same credential you already configured.
